Straightening and Cutting Equipment

For our wire straightening and cutting operations, we use state-of-the-art equipment that employs:

• Rotary straightening arbors that provide consistent quality and precision straightness
• Close-tolerance circular dies that ensure the least amount of deformation during the cutoff process and produce clean, square shoulders with little to no burring

Our capabilities also include the ability to perform secondary operations on the straightened and cut wire, such as flattening, deburring, swaging, chamfering, and finishing ends to a precise, specified radius.

Available Materials

The above equipment allows us to process a wide range of materials and grades in a variety of wire diameters and lengths, including ones that comply with ASTM standards. Some of the materials we work include:

• Low carbon steel (ASTM A510/A853)
• Low carbon galvanized steel (ASTM A641)
• High carbon and spring temper steel (ASTM A227, A228, and A229)
• Stainless steel (ASTM A313, A555, and A580)

For these materials, we offer straightening and cutting capabilities for a variety of gauges and lengths. We can handle wire diameters up to 0.630 inches and wire lengths ranging from 1 inch to 24 feet to close tolerances. Custom cutting of shorter (less than 1 inch) and longer (up to 50 feet +/- 6 inches) lengths to accommodate specialized needs is also available.
